Garnett Silk, bürgerlich Garnet Damion Smith, war auf dem Wege die Nachfolge von Bob Marley als den nächsten jamaikanischen Superstar anzutreten, als er mit 28 Jahren zur tragischen Gestalt wurde. Er verstarb, als er versuchte am 09.12.1994 seine Mutter aus ihrem brennenden Haus zu retten – r.i.p. – his music will live forever!
